Why I shouldn't be a GM

I have absolutely no experience whatsoever in the matters of moderating any type of maplestory. This lack of experience may be a major impediment to my contribution to the server as a GM. Thus, this is first strike against me.

First of all, by nature I’m a manipulative bastard. I will fool people into thinking I possess a certain set of characteristics. Once I believe you’ve formulated your final judgment about my personality, I will slowly begin to tear you apart. Before you know it, you’ll be following my every command, whether it be consciously or subconsciously. You will inevitably end up doing what I want you to do. Once I am finished with you, your psyche will be scattered among a million different thoughts. You won’t realize what’s right or what’s wrong, who are you or who I am, what you’re doing here and why you’re living. Some people have in fact realized this before complete obliteration of their psyche, and thus, were able to save themselves before succumbing to my will. They were the lucky ones. However, the vast majority of those I have met were not lucky in the least. And by initial judgment, I can say not many of you will survive. (A few have already been trapped so deep within my grasp it would be nearly impossible for them to escape) Now, some of you may think that since I am telling you exactly what I intend to do, it ruins the purpose and gives you a heads-up to be wary of me. Reverse psychology, my friend. Not just one time either. I’ve created my own personal algorithm that calculates the specifics of the plan I must follow in order to execute my plan successfully based on the personality of each individual. All of you, but two people, fall within a certain ranking. And I have already begun to employ the plan for that specific ranking. The other two, I will deal with them myself, on a personal level some other time. In essence, all I truly desire is power. Call me a narcissist, say I’m one of the meanest bastards you know, say I’m one of the nicest people you know. It doesn’t matter. Your opinion is negligible. You will not treat me based on your opinion, you will treat me exactly how I want you to treat me. I have mastered the art of manipulation.

And that is the gist of my inherent power. Now, in other news, I’ll tell you a little more arbitrary information about myself. First off, I come from an adequately wealthy family and throughout my life I have been spoiled like no other. I am generally a depressed person, and in my spare time I delve into nihilistic readings along with suicidal essays. My scholastic aptitude parallels that of a dead boar fetus. Scoring a mere 1250/2400 on the SAT, and passing with Ds in half my classes and Fs in the other, some like to believe I am mentally retarded. The opposite is true. My creative genius and innovative abilities have dissolved any notions others may have of my intellectual capacity. In addition, my days are usually spent contemplating nothingness, while time usually passes by like a wildfire. I am the epitome of a waste of life. Despite this, I have somehow convinced others that I do,in fact, possess a level of intellect that may parallel that of Einstein, Da Vinci, and Shakespeare alike. This has been to my advantage for the most part. Ahh, but I digress. Back to more arbitrary things. You see, I rarely watch TV, and when I do, I usually watch old movies that are being re-run on HBO. Additionally, I am not an avid listener of music; however, I am aware of a number of bands and artists due to the influence of my peers. One more thing, I run for cross country and track on my school’s team. I am slow. Thus, this is 2 strikes against me. I would be a horrible gamemaster.

In your opinion, what is the ideal GM?

The ideal GM would be both an intellectual mastermind and a creative connoisseur. The former is necessary for discovering what method of action to take in unfavorable circumstances, use evidence slyly to discover evidence that may be used for or against someone, and also to impress others with his or her genius and thereby subconsciously controlling them. Now, you can be an intellectual mastermind, but that would leave half of the equation empty. So many times have I seen these people with a lack of adequate understanding. They always end up making the same mistakes. One must have a mind like an ocean, continuously flowing and exchanging ideas with its surroundings; but at the same time with a vast enough space for accepting new thoughts and hiding away old ones. It is one thing to impress other players with one’s genius. It is another to impress each player individually in a different way with his or her genius. If one were able to complete the latter successfully, not only would he or she have each player under his or her complete control, but the culmination of different ideals would lead to an impervious wall. Previously stated GM would always be the leader in every situation. If one poor soul were to attack said GM, he would not be bombarded with a million comments of the same nature stating why the GM is in the right, no, the poor soul would be bombarded with one million comments….each of different nature, each providing a different, yet completely adequate reason for why the GM is right. In essence, the GM would be invincible. I possess none of the above characteristics. That is why I am not fit for this job. Strike 3.

How are you unique?

In every way imaginable. I am emotionless. Your comments do not faze me. I will destroy you if I truly wish to. I have also mastered the art of being impetuous yet perfectly organized at the same time. I will begin by laying out my plan exactly how I want it to go. When one thing goes haywire, I become rash, which may seem like it may be detrimental, but is in fact one of my greatest aspects. One mistake does not lead to ultimate failure of my plan. One mistake leads to the initiation of my innovative genius and thus the creation of a new plan possibly 100x more genius than the one I originally laid out. Some may argue that I DEPEND on mistakes in my plan. However, once I begin to employ my innovative thinking, it is inevitable that emotion arises once again, and I succumb to my desires. Thus, I am both emotionless and emotional at the same time in different circumstances. This is a flaw. I am not fit to be a GM. Strike 4.

How do you think DoodleStory could improve?
By not accepting me as a GM. That is all that’s necessary. Strike 5.

What do you think about the current GMs?

Completely inadequate to complete the job. Let’s look at who we have…..

Tamara: At first, she may seem to be a friendly person with a unique ability to attract others and make friendships easily. She seems to work hard and seems to be intelligent. All of these are misconceptions commonly held by the people she’s fooling. Not only is she utterly inefficient and seriously a lazy bastard at times, but she blatantly ignores the requests of some people and stays bitter at others for long periods of time. Do not get on her bad side. She will be a bitch. Also, she masturbates more than I do. I don't know how that's even physically possible, but god damn she's horny.

Anh: I’ve never truly spoken with him before, but if my initial judgments are correct, he gives off the vibe of being somewhat intelligent and actually capable of completing his job. The opposite is true. He doesn’t correct grammar with the intent of bettering society, he does it to satisfy his over-blown ego. Additionally, he fools with the minds of others and uses his natural charm to deceive others, possibly as much as I do, although in a different manner. His coding is merely a way to counter-balance his condescending personality and to dissipate any negative notions others may have of him. Army? Army my fucking ass. I can see this guy walking in the first day in some fancy pink dress, dancing like the biggest homofaggot I've ever seen. His ign is "King" for fucking christ's sake. Oh wait! I forgot, he has another ign! So what is it? "Prince." How much more fucking narcissistic can you get? If this guy were to make a porno, It'd probably be called "2douches1faggot." And he'd play the role of every character. Not just douche#1, but douche#2 as well. Not to mention the faggot. He fits every personality well.

Eunsol: The laziest of the lazy. In the first two days that I was here, I saw her do absolutely nothing. Finally, the third day arrived and when asked to do an event, she denied. Do you know why? Her excuse was “I’m tired.”  That is pure dedication. I am appalled by how much dedication she has shown for this server. To make matters worse, the day afterwards she was asked to do another event, and what was her reply this time? “I’m eating.” <- It took 15 minutes of work by other players and GMs to FINALLY convince her to do something. That is not ideal. She is also outspoken and inherently mean. Her comments are nasty and if she means them to be a joke, my goodness, she’s stupider than I thought. Seriously, she needs to be less offensive and more willing to help others….others that are not her best friends.

Liam: Now, here we have one son of a bitch. This guy is a complete idiot, and I’m not even sure how he ever got a GM spot in the first place. Really? Not only do you form cliques and exclude others from your group, but you’re also one hell of a womanizer. When have I not seen you try to act all “QOOT” in front of other women to fool them into believing you’re a great guy that loves them, and only them. You do this with your positions to. How many “<33333” did you have to give Tamara to finally become a GM? How many conversations did you start with the intent of getting this GM spot. Why did you quit ForestStory after building up such an adequate reputation there once you heard a new server with at spot for GM was opening up? Tell me Liam, tell me. You’re an evil son of a bitch.

Carolyn: Carolyn, you’re one of the nicest people I know. Not only do others continuously defame you and ignore you, but you’re faced with spite from every other player each time you play. What did you do to deserve that? Oh, right. You donated enough money to allow this server to actually start running. So what if you have a problem with your grammar and spelling? That’s fixable. So what if you made a simple mistake here and there? It’s your first time as a GM. It’s natural, guys. What I don’t understand is how you have 1 strike already. That’s unacceptable. Doesn’t anyone else realize it’s unbelievably sketchy that RODNEY, from ForestStory, who also happens to be friends with Liam and Alan, just happens to join this server, purposely get jailed, and then MAKE A VIDEO of Carolyn breaking the GM rules. No, that’s not sketchy at all, my friends. Every person totally thinks of MAKING A VIDEO in a completely new server and GETTING A GM a STRIKE for one simple mistake. That’s not justifiable, that’s not being fair. That’s manipulating a person into doing what you want them to do in order to get rid of them. Liam and Alan, you guys are bastards, along with Rodney. And what about the rest of you? Shame on all of you. I can’t believe I ever decided to join a server like this. Tamara, you’re stupider than I thought for actually counting this as a legitimate strike. Or maybe, just maybe, Tamara actually wants to get rid of Carolyn? Is that a possibility. Get rid of the person that provided the foundation for the server. Yeah, that’s fair, Tamara, that’s real fair.

Aaron: I’ve never met anyone stupider than this guy here. Every time I have a conversation with him my IQ drops by 20 points, at the least. He’s also way too nice to be a GM. I bet if he caught someone hacking he’d start questioning them about which hacks they were using and end up just giving them a temporary ban because he wouldn’t be able to figure out if they deserved a permanent ban or not. Also, he fails at jump quests. What kind of GM fails at jump quests? He’s a noob at best. Get rid of this guy and every other GM right now, please. That would be best for the server.

How will you have a positive effect on the server?

How would I know this? Define “positive.” In my opinion, everything I do is aimed towards positively affecting this server. Others may not feel the same way. Thus, this question is inherently flawed and should be removed immediately, unless you want a bunch of idiots applying and getting accepted as a GM. Strike 9.

Why did you apply?
Because people told me to. Some people were actually convinced I would make a great GM. I’m here to show them that I wouldn’t. Strike 10

What characteristics do you possess that make you a good GM?
I possess absolutely none of the characters that an ideal GM should have. Thus, I am not fit to be a GM. Strike 11.

Yeah, so, I hope you all realized this was a parody. Take the opposite of everything I just said, and that’s my GM application for you. Also, I hope no one takes any of this legitimately. The criticism part was full of bloated assumptions and circumstantial evidence, so don't take any of those seriously. Also I lied/exaggerated a bit to make everyone look really really bad. LOL.


In all seriousness, there are 7 other staff applications as of now, and I'm sure there are more to come. Honestly, I'm going to be pretty busy this summer with all the junk I have going on for me. If there were like 2 applications, and the server needed another GM, I'd definitely legitimately apply. Right now, I'd rather let other people have the chance, seeing I won't be logging on enough to actually get work done as a GM.
